Turning the generation with the 500 dollars/euros Xbox One X... Are you serious?

It is a niche product. It will maybe outsold PS4 Pro in US and UK but it will not oulsold PS4 Slim...

after 4 years people may see it as a new gen, do they even know about consoles "generations" ? And is it still relevant today ?

I can see it sell well. A lot a ps4 pro buyers already have a ps4, a lot of them came from the xbox 360, maybe now they'll buy a XoX instead of a pro to have the best console version of multiplats.

I'm amazed this thread is even a thing here.

DF likes the most competent/powerful tech, sometimes their writing sounds biased because of it.
but I've never seen any reason to question their integrity, and the ones that I've seen do so have been very biased themselves.
PS4 won 98% of face offs so suddenly their bias to Sony because they nit pick over the most minor things in those peoples eyes.
the fact that's what they are there for and the whole point seems to fly over their heads.
Now i expect the same but from Sony supporters regarding 1X

if people only wants to know tech details then read hot chips and gdc presentations, if they only want game reviews plenty of places for those.

In North America and UK probably out of this the console is too expensive and the Xbox brand is simply behind the Playstation brand in the rest of the world. And the sales of the rest of the world are superior to the sales of US plus UK..

Define 'well'. In terms of selling like a new generation (10 million first year sales), not a chance. It's a pricey box that plays the same games in 4K, branded as a souped-up version of the console you already have. Expecting it to sell well is the same as expecting any high-end product to outsell its cheaper family members. If MS are lucky, it'll sell 15 million before the next XBox is released in a few years.

Others didn't see the Xbox One S selling as well as it had either initially. I think well is a very relative term, all based off your expectations.

But let's not turn this Troll garbage thread into a real thread. Sales expectations of Xbox One X belongs elsewhere.
