The drop rate from the PoE chest seems very high... I think I got multiple weapons in my 4 completions, including a few exotics. I hope they give us more ways to earn those treasure keys though... doing those events on moon/earth/venus is getting old.
Level 28 PoE is easy and level 32 isn't so bad. Tried level 34 and made it to the third stage / 3rd wave but had to leave. It was pretty tough but I think is doable as a level 33.
The new strike is pretty decent. If they ever use that as nightfall again with light-switch, it's gonna be even more of a pain in the ass than Omnigul.
Overall, I'm quite happy with HoW even though there's no raid. There's quite a bit for me to do each week now with PoE, ToO, NFs, weeklys and raids.

but its all repetition and PoE is very repetitive
the deliberate amounts of invisible walls and (unexplained) story bending/affecting gameplay in HoW also feels weird.
With VoG it was something new for almost every week for a few months (new chest loc, new chest spawn trigger, alternate routes, "superman" through the jumping puzzle, etc). Crota is repetitive. HoW is really repetitive.
Although i do really like the way they designed the battles in The Terminus.The other battles are back to basic "ghost wait for 3 enemy wave" but without the ghost dinkling on a door.

It's repetitive, but the higher level PoE is challenging and still fun IMO. Dunno how long before it gets old though.
VoG come quickly repetitive also, depend of the frequency of play, personally 6 or 10 by week, in the rush period, to help people loot. So boring and now probably return to loot exo, are they improved the lv, 'cause now is to easy and not fun.
@djkribbles: Don't try the PoE lv34 this morning, finish lv32 and funny end. And yes after 40 runs, it's probably come old like all activities. But with Witcher 3, that's take time to arrive for me.

Damn characters look retarded on Bungie.net...maybe I'll try to shot something off my actual Xbox later.
Beat 34 POE as a 33 twice, it was pretty tough, I guess about as expected. The fourth wave with Arc and two mine disarm waves is tough, as is the boss till you get the hang of it.
Definitely two SUPER epic clears, both took about 2 hours I think (first time got stuck on 4th wave, second time got stuck kind of on 4th wave and kind of on boss)...definitely two of the best Destiny experiences I've had.
I could have reached 34 a lot faster but for an unfortunate dentist appt that knocked me out of commission for about 7 hours yesterday.
Will be nice when it's all 34's running 34 POE!
Now to get some Etheric light for weapons, I'm still running 300 VoG guns in many cases!
Vex Mythoclast as expected continues to rape...at 365 it's even better...very good for Urroxx ads at lv 34.

I'm still trying to digest all the changes to the grind and whether I like them I definitely feel like most of the changes seem positive so far.
But one I'm kind of not sure about is HoW weapon drops, I dont desire them like I did early TDB drops, why? Because any gun can be 365 anyway...it's kind of weird. The only reason to want the new guns is reforge and the new perks. And well, the new perks seem pretty weak to me on the surface mostly.
Example, I get a new HoW scout rifle drop, my first HoW scout...but I know it wont be as good as 365 Vision Of Confluence anyway, for starters since it will be kinetic damage. In TDB each new drop was kind of compelling because you were getting 331 guns instead of 300 for the first time.

But so far I love HoW! Of course no doubt eventually the new content will grow stale...

Congrats on lvl 34. I hit 33 with my hunter yesterday. My plan for reaching 34 will take me at least 2 more weeks, but I plan on using the armor cores to buy the armor from the warden every week. If I get etheric light I plan on using it solely for weapons at first, like my Fang of ir yut and abyss defiant that way I have a non exotic primary with 365 DMG. I had enough shards to ascend my Ice breaker and truth along with my hunter and warlock helmets and one of my hunter chest pieces.Whoo!

I am trying to grab Over soul Edict for my 32 warlock from the raid, but I keep getting shards and energy every time I solo the first part with my hunter. I would also like to grab Word of Crota.
and here i am already bored with HoW....

Datto's vid though I haven't watched it says 35 POE is really hard and took hours. I guess maybe it's just like raids where it takes people a while to find streamlined strategies, but still.
Hmm, you can only get guaranteed Etheric light 2X per week I guess? Gonna take a long time to up all those weapons...I think it makes my strategy of one of every elemental of every type on every character untenable.
I wonder how Etheric light drop rates are from nightfall? So far all I know is I've done 2X and not gotten any. I've seen some drop rate tables and the percentages of most things are really low, so it could be like 3-5%.
Edit: The etheric light situation is not as bad as I thought, considering I have 3 characters. Once people get strats down to farm 34 and 35 POE, that's 6X etheric light at least per week.

I've decided to level up my 3 characters to 33 so I've only had time to play level 34 once. Plus It's almost easier for us to make a team of 6 than it is 3...someone usually gets left out.
I might level up my Warlock to 34 with my next 34 completion (since I didn't get any Etheric light from the 3 nightfalls that I did) and try 35 sometime on the weekend. Was hoping to reach 34 for Trials of Osiris tomorrow but that might not happen.

just played the 34 PoE ... its very very very repetitive with the boss seems keep using his/her (same) skill with timer just like Crota.
the rewards also mostly underwhelming, legendary something and something to give to Varrick. The only thing thats good is etheric light. But then i cant use DONT TOUCH ME on my hunter because the armor reward from Varrick is an ARM. and i really dont like hunter exotic helmets...
i guess i gotta have a bunch of Etheric light just to be able to wear the equipment i want while still keeping it high level.
but then... when i reach high level, what is the benefit. PoE is not like in VoG when you are low level, holding templar from teleport is very risky. Better with higher level. Or even circumvent that by using the relic "cleanse" as a impromptu shield.

and then because "Prawling" events are generous in giving legendaries, blues, etc. I no longer have motivation to do strike playlist except for enjoying the gameplay. Unfortunately the most fun "moldy sekrion" strike is very rarely appear on the playlist. If it appear, people just bail out. with HoW.... i suspect its even worse.
im seriously considering doing the "no primary" glitch again with my characters (dunno its fixed or not though).... With the small area of PoE, the repetitive waves, doing heavy ammo glitch all the time will be good i think. Explosions everywhere.

Got my Warlock to 34 and beat level 35. One of my buddies has already beat it twice so he had some strategies for us which helped make it not too difficult... about as difficult as doing 34 as level 33 (if not a bit easier). Having good teammates and having Gjallarhorn also makes things a lot easier. If you're not clearing out ads or your teammates aren't doing much, it makes for a rough ride.

32 POE shoulda been matchmade. It's already easy. But I gotta grind it on each character for armored core
Speaking of, should i bother trading weapon core for wolfsclaw? It seems there is an elemental version anyway so why would i want non-elemental one? Otoh not sure what else to do with weapon core. Save it?

You basically only need 2 etheric light, 1 exotic shard/exotic armor and to complete level 32 PoE. Use the etheric light to ascend 2 armor pieces to light 42, use an exotic shard to ascend your exotic armor, and complete PoE 32 for an armor core to purchase the gauntlets from Variks.
For me, I beat PoE 34 on two characters to get 2 etheric light. You can also get etheric light from nightfalls, trials, PoE or iron banner.

I guess it's good to buy a bunch of engrams? Especially now that you can get motes for strange coins? Course, you might need motes for reforging...I guess it's time to start running the weekly 3x instead of two, gonna need those motes now.
Only things I'm really wanting to reforge for so far though are for Field Scout on Machine Guns, Tracking on Rocket launchers (dont have any HoW yet). Probably field scout on snipers. A lot of primaries dont seem to have field scout available,and only raid primaries are really viable anyway and they already have great rolls so no need to try for a great roll on a non-elemental primary.
I got a new void legendary HoW sniper with shoot to loot, so that's cool. It comes on legendaries now.
Hopefully I can attempt and beat 35 POE today, I needs more Etheric lights for weapons! Hopefully by now there will be more 34's out and also good strats will be filtering down where it wont be too bad (goes for 34 also). I only need to finish up the quest chain, 28 POE and 32 and 34 POE and nightfall on my third, and 35 POE on all 3 this week.
