Got all of my characters to 34 and beat PoE 35 on all of them. Got an extra etheric light... hmm, which weapon to upgrade? Torn between Fatebringer or VoC.

Reforged my queen's scout rifle and got full-auto, explosive rounds and firefly. This will be an interesting scout rifle to use. Just wish I got extended mag as well.

Played some Trials of Osiris yesterday and could have got a 9-0 card so that I could visit the special social space, but we lost our very first match and I didn't use the buff to remove a loss. We went 10-0 after that. Will try to get a 9-0 card so that I can visit the social space and get that emblem before ToO ends this week. It's a very good addition to Destiny IMO... very intense and fun.

So far I'm quite happy with HoW. A lot more stuff to do each week, and I LOVE how we can reforge weapons. I spend hundreds of motes doing so.
The only thing I don't like is that they need to give us more ways to get these treasure keys. Farming chests is not fun!

edit: Visited the mercury social space after going 9-0 in ToO... was pretty neat looking. Got the AR with arc damage. Also got the hand cannon and 3 etheric light. Now to upgrade some weapons.

Is there any worth buying weapons with the vendors? I haven't bought HOW yet but was interested to see if I can get the weapons if there are any interesting ones. I basically need a primary legendary for when I switch from hawkmoon.

BTW, @djskribbles ur reforged scout rifle sounds amazing ! I am actually looking for a good scout rifle or hand cannon, any on sale with the vendors? Also, I have 4 vanguard commendations lying around, what do I do with them?

Yeah there are many good vendor weapons. The beauty about being able to reforge your weapons is that you basically just need good base stats, then you can reforge the weapon to get the perks that you want.

Yes, I've tried a couple times and it's very hard indeed. No success yet.
Plus waiting out snyth cooldowns everytime you fail is chinese water torture.

For now I'm only counting on the 3 level 34 etheric light per week, plus whatever I can get from nightfall.

Am I the only one who doesn't care that much about the key? There are not many legendary guns that are much use to me, nor exotics, I do want celestial nighthawk a lot, that's about it. So I dont care that much about the chests, I just want etheric light.

I'm still having a hard time seeing much point in any primaries besides raid elemental ones...

Also from looking at Planet Destiny, it seems at least sniper rifles are kind of nerfed in HoW. Keep your good TDB ones. For example they cant roll firelfy anymore.

Everybody was talking crap about how bad the Wolfslayers Claw was, I picked it up because why not, and I could use more 365 primaries anyway (it's only my 2nd after I upgraded VoC). Anyways, in the very little bit I played with it on a 32 daily, it seemed actually good? Am I crazy?

I'm so low on weapon parts, STILL. I even purged a LOT of my legendaries, including ones I kinda like a lot like my Broken Truth LR1, still only have 67 weapon parts. At 25 a pop to upgrade exotics, they go so fast. Plus now you need them to reforge. There's no easy way to farm them, either.

It's weird I here people saying they have over 1K weapon parts and stuff. I used to too, now they're my bane for the last several weeks. My worst bottleneck with no signs of ending. Guess I will have to run Dragon strikes (yech). But even that you're probably looking at like less than 40 weapon parts an hour (figuring 3 blues=9 and 15 minutes per strike).

I think my mistake was just upgrading too many weapons in the past. I need to be more selective in the future.

That was my concern with Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. All these prisoners dropped in that hole with nothing to eat but gruel, yet they develop the muscles of serious body builders eating high-energy, high protein diets with supplements... Reality is oft ignored by storytellers.

If you're struggling with skolas, having a titan helps a lot, but if everyone has gjallarhorn then you should be fine. Run straight to the left, kill the servitor, then everyone just fire rockets at skolas. It's possible to kill him before the mines even spawn. Having a titan or two obviously helps with weapons of light (and blessings if you have two titans).

Managed to get flawless 9-0 cards in Trials of Osiris on all 3 of my characters, but I got the same damn auto rifle on all 3 characters. Not too upset though since I got quite a few weapons and gear with a bunch of etheric light left over. Will probably ascent my 3x fatebringers and 3x VoC, then probably my crucible weapons for Iron Banner/Trials of Osiris.

I like PoE. Probably prefer it over a raid this time. It's nice to do something different and fun than just raid stuff, wait for armor to drop, etc. I like the idea of varying up endgame activities and not just a raid every time, that's too formulaic. I know we'll get a raid in comet anyway.

One issue I see is since the rewards are only at the end, there's a general dislike of playing through all the earlier levels. Same reason people didn't like Ir Yut til they patched it. Dont know how to fix though.

My clan is very inactive now. I only play with one guy from my clan regularly. I do play with quite a few others regularly though. Each time I beat skolas, I was only with 1 other 'regular', others were either just people I've met a few hours prior (through friends of friends) or people I don't play with often.
Just like crota, as long as everyone executes the plan, it shouldn't take you that many attempts, especially if you have weapons of light.

Oh and also, are you guys making sure everyone has full (or near full) rockets + an ammo synthesis ready? If everyone fires 12-14 gjallarhorns each he should be dead or close to. The biggest pain for skolas is waiting for your heavy cooldown.

Don't get me wrong, it's not easy by any means, but it is no where near as difficult as crota or VoG was first time around IMO. Both raids took days for us to beat for the first time.

edit: As for commendations, they're consumables now... use them to convert to faction reputation.

hmm cant watch the video but focust 1st on armor for light level than weapon. Because im still using 300 VoC and its still works awesome in PoE (due to my level up).

Yeah Datto just confirmed what I thought too, basically all the queens weapons that drop from the POE treasure chests are no great shakes. Usually there are equal or better vendor options or you probably already have better weapons from TDB.

So for me that leaves exotics and I already have all the exotic guns I want except for the new ones which I think only drop via bounty, and Crest of Lupi and Nighthawk. So BASICALLY the chest are not all that compelling to bother with IMO. Sure I'd rather have one than not, if nothing else it gets me precious weapon parts when I dismantle whatever guns I get, but it's not a huge deal, or really worth farming keys much for. Definitely it seems to me like keys are one of those things highly overrated by the general Destiny public.

Also learned you only get the level 35 POE shader/ship etc from the chest, which is dumb but means I'm definitely trying to acquire/save a key before I beat 35! Speaking of, I haven't checked but the thought yesterday was Skolas would have a different burn this week, which means no Gally burn, which means he is gonna be HARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD .

Edit: It's arc burn for Skolas. Looks like I/LFG groups have no chance this week.

Got an Etheric light from nightfall! Woo, bonus etheric light.

Used it to 365 Preadyth's Timepiece, in hindsight shoulda done Fatebringer.

Not sure my non exotic 365 priority list. Some of the top candidates:

Found Verdict (because it's only 300, and my only arc shotgun, and thus very valuable in current endgame)
Atheons Epilogue (so I'll have 365 all elemental primaries)\
Black Hammer? (Powerful DPS endgame sniper)
Fatebringer
An Arc Fusion Rifle?

After that nothing jumps out too crazy. I guess some arc stuff, since current endgame is fallen.

Lucky, I've gotten garbage from my 3x nightfalls.

I've already upgraded my 3xfatebringers, 3xVoCs and my felwinters lie. Have 3 etheric light left with 1 34 left to run and all 3 35s to run this week. My upgrade order will probably be:
-3x Efrideet's Spear
-Radegast Fury or Dreamwaker (for Iron banner/Trials of Osiris)
-At least 1 found verdict

Then I might start looking for better armor with better stats for my characters (not quite happy with my Titan or Warlock).
