Dead Rising demo available

So says eurogamer: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=66484

Capcom informs us that the Dead Rising demo is due to go live on Xbox Live Marketplace this morning at 11am BST.

According to a Capcom spokesperson, play is limited to 15 minutes in one section of the mall. We don't know anything else, like file-size, but we thought we'd let you know anyway. We'll update this item will full details just after 11 (when you'll also notice a slight dip in productivity).

edit: It's available NOW.

Smooth framerate, 4xAA, AF, motion blur, HUGE draw distance, incredible animations and hundreds of zombies on screen! The graphics are unbelievable! And the amount of variety for the weapons and clothes you can change into is insane!

There's objectives aswell.

Just wanted to give some quick impressions. Going back to play. bye.

Everything they let you pick up is pretty much a weapon, right? I mean, I've seen paintings, chairs, food, boxes...all grocery items. It's definitely a must-have game for me. :D

The cinematics look very well done for the main characters. Does the photographer's model actually change when you go back to the gameplay or is it just the camera angle that closes in on the detail during the cinematic?

Bob - you do have XBlive, everyone does, it's Silver instead of Gold.

I'm thinking there's a connection issue here, like not having fifty-feet of ethernet, and not wanting to spend money on a wireless adapter.

I wish i could go buy it right now, this is exactly what a demo should be. The only thing thats a little 'current gen' about it is the low-ish poly counts in some cutscenes and stores, other than that it looks great, its a blast to play, and it runs without a hint of slowdown. There seems to be more structure with missions and objectives than i thought there would be, which appears as if it will be a good thing.

If i'm reading you right, the answer is yes. I put the giant teddy bear head on my character and when i entered a cutscene he was still wearing it, which prompted a roar from the crowd (i.e. me and 2 of my kids). :)

there are things that look great and other that don't at all, like the faces, which are well rendered, at least during cutscene (don't know if they are the same during gameplay but i doubt it, and then, it's not important, there are lot of zombies to take care about instead of looking at the main character) but over details like the body, or the hair, are still too blocky and xbox1 like, but in hi res. Some textures could have been better too, like the closeup of a wall texture at the begining of the demo.
