As for the response to Mckmas (and I do know you're just joking around btw), no honestly I thought PCs did more on average in terms of their output. But average is the key word, and there are a lot of 'ancient' chips slaving away there.
What did you think I was joking about? But it's good to see the average PS3 will crush the average PC. Even the better PCs probably aren't doing more than 10 gigaflops per second. Seriously (I hate to say it like this but) Sony can push this in a marketing way.
Do you want CELL blades? Not sure? Well guess what? Our CELLs in our PS3 are pushing 100 gigaflops per sec while the average blah blah blah only does 8 gigaflops per sec.
BAM! Thousands of CELL blades sold a month. It's crazy to see the cell processor already surpass the EE processor in the PS2. And the so called "crazy Ken" will see his dream of distributed computation at or near launch. AMAZING!
