I called Microcenter and you basically have to go in and meet with a Build-Your-Own "specialist" to determine if you can get a discount down to MSRP levels. They are being very hardcore about resisting miner buyers.

Same here but for the Vega 64.

Never thought I'd be so glad to be an early adopter. Save for a brutal cryptomining crash, that card isn't going back to £450 anytime soon.
And the card is practically paying for itself as we speak.

    I agree , I only wish I picked up a 64 instead of 56 at this point... or a second 56.

You can only buy grey market barely legal stuff on sites hosted in island countries you've never heard of.

There are exchanges that will exchange ETH for fiat ("real" currency) directly.

I can preorder the Vega 64 for the exact same price as the Vega 56. $800. Tough choice :p

Even better change it to some other coin before USD because the fee is higher on BTC and ETH. Still it's only around $127 so it hardly matters :p

I don't think $127 is enough to buy a Fiat, even a Punto.

    (I'm very sorry.)

I've used ShapeShift and then local bitcoin to get FIAT, then just buy your Amazon vouchers.

Depending on where you are in the world, some local bitcoins exchange ETH, so you may not need shapeshift. The UK does not (or at least did not) though.
