CPU temp monitor?

Does anyone know a program to monitor my cpu's temerature? Or do I have to get an actual piece of hardware?
I thoought I remember seeing one somewhere...

Software on its own would be useless. It needs to be supported by your mainboard/case or you need to buy hardware.

Well, all I have is Sisoft Sandra that'll tell me the temperature, but i have to refresh it, so it seems like there should be another program that can do the same thing and refresh itslef, right?
