[0014] The instant invention provides a mechanism and a method for enabling vector load and store instructions to execute more efficiently and with less memory usage by eliminating the need to load useless data from memory into vector registers and to store that same useless data in memory. The invention provides an improved instruction format which may be used in connection with any suitable type of data processor, from microprocessors to supercomputers, having a vector processing unit in order to improve the operational efficiency of vector load and store instructions in instances where the entire vector is not needed to store the data for a particular application.

Basically more efficient vector ops.

Revolution's gonna be a supercomputer? Are those 16 teraflop rumours true?

Well, you know how these things go. If it's in a patent...

Supercomputer.. it's like Superman.
Superman might not be any more man than your average man.
Actually he seems to be even a lesser man as he does not much do those manly things men are known to do. I would not say fighting supervillains is a normal man thing.
He does not hang out with girls (or other men) and show his manhood, which would make people think of him as more of a man, a super man that does man things superbly.

He's called Superman because he dresses funny (primary colours, cape), and does things that amuse mainly kids.

So Revolution could very wel be a Supercomputer, it'll have mainly kiddy games, it'll probably be some candy colour and has a cape.
