copied HD using norton ghost 10 and doesn't boot all the way? WTF?

so i coped my main drive C:/ to another HD for back up purposes...yes, i set it to active....I tested it 3 times and whenever it gets to the login windows, it just hangs there... The mouse pointer still works..but no login screen?!


any help would be nice

try ranish partition manager instead, it's free and does pefect copies of partition (at the physical, 512 bytes sector level). it works under DOS and is also included on the Ultimate Boot CD.

what a waste of time for me using norton ghost 10... claimed to be able to make a 1:1 copy.. hell noh.. I even copied the master boot record to the 2nd HD and still no luck..
