News that the Wii version of this is on indefinite hold, as firaxis wants to focus on the 360 and PS3 versions, brought this game to my attention. I think most of us loved the original, and while this title does leave me with some doubts, it seems at the very least extremely close to the original and if the supported online play turns out decent (they're looking to speed the game up for the online modes), I think I could enjoy this. Though somehow I hope they also allow for the old slow, long-winded type of game, where you and your opponents can agree to play for an hour and then save, and continue later.
