I'm having a weird problem, and I'm hoping someone can shed some light. I'm redoing an old PC with a AMD HD2600 AGP graphics card. I've wiped the disk, done a clean install of Windows 7 32bit with all updates, etc.
When I try to install the Catalyst 12.6 Legacy Hotfix or the 13 whatever hotfix, it looks as if it has installed, but CCC shows nothing except three buttons on the left for pinned, presets and power, all of which are empty. There are no other buttons, so nothing for video, gaming, etc.
What's weird is this exact same hardware was running both of those hotfixes perfectly fine before it was wiped over. I've tried re-installing, trying the two different sets of drivers, running SFC, reinstalling Windows + all updates, reinstalling .net, etc but nothing's working. I know there's something faulty with the install, because I'm seeing a lot of "video driver has recovered" errors, even though this machine was solid before.
Any ideas gratefully received.
