Not really. I did a 33% overclock on my old athlon 2500+ but the temperature didnt rise nearly as much. It still did it with a fairly reasonable air cooler so if there was a big increase in heat I would have noticed. Biggest increase in heat probably comes when changing the vcore, not so much from the clockspeed to a certain point.
