Call of Duty: Ghost (Consoles)

Seeing huge jaggies in the footage are we sure this is ps4 video?

1080p doesn't get rid of jaggies , just reduce them. There is a reason why pc gamers go out and buy $1,000 cards even when playing at only 1080p. You still need heaps of FSAA on the image to get rid of it.

I wonder if the ps4 (xbox one also) would be better served with a lower res but large amounts of FSAA

Yeah I know but the steps seem huge as if it's not at full res also.

weird double post there

could just be 1080p with no fsaa at all. To be honest I haven't played a game like that in 8 years :)

So Safegaurd is just Zombies, but with human enemies who can shoot.
Is the Spec -Ops mode still there? I hope they didn't abandon it :(
Cos I prefer those to any of these wave based modes where u have to start from wave 0 each time you die  !

It might be that it can't run on X1 at 1080p now but future iterations will have more time / understanding of h/w and can run at 1080p.

Regardless what the resolution is we'll see massive improvements over next several years. I have Call of Duty 2 for the 360 and comparing that to later versions is almost comical.

If the resolution is 720p , it won't be good news for Microsoft (and quite frankly , embarrassing for the hardware , especially after the "easy to use" from the XB1 architects) .
I don't believe the rumors though ... there is an obvious power gap , but not a 720vs1080 gap.

Just read Adam Boyes confirmed 1080P on PS4.

Just saw that confirmation. It's running at 1080p native. No upscaling which is pretty cool, especially since they don't seem to have dialled back on any eyecandy and still have it running at 60fps.

For a third party launch game that's pretty impressive.

There was that post E3 disclosure about how the port to the PS4 took weeks and was running at 90fps unoptimised, the xbone meanwhile took months and was running at 15fps unoptimised. Perhaps there is more going here than has been disclosed

It is less than the minimum that I was expecting for a next gen console, very dissapointed if Xbox One version is not 1080p.

That sounds so surreal.. Not a good sign for MS and Co.
I could life with the X1 version being 900p but 720p not gonna spend my money on it.

Don't ask why, but I was not expecting this to run at 1080p native on the ps4 or Xb1. I am very surprised if it is, cos then it means i t will look very sharp and still run at 60 fps and will mean a ton of difference going from the ps3 version of ghosts MP to PS4, as the far visibility is going to get doubled.

I don't know about PSx versions, but Xbox versions can't play together. And there is not cross gaming between PC and consoles.

AFAIK Sony are promoting cross play between PS4 and PC for all games.

I am not saying there is cross gaming, I am saying it will be huge difference in visibilty for players upgrading from the PS3 version of ghosts, like me, to the ps4 version when it arrives, since it is being confirmed as native 1080p. That will definitely change long range gaming. I wasn't expecting native 1080p for Ghosts. This can definitely make me prefer this title over others which aren't 1080p for some shooter MP. Even when I play BF3 on PC, I set to lowest gfx and maximum resolution possible for MP for max visibility in an MP game.
