So it's no longer P2P, everything routes through MS servers?
Yes and no, basically its still P2P, but the supernodes are not out in the wild anymore, but in datacenters on MS servers.

I think it will be over 1M... at least as many as they shipped to North America.Good start! So total EU sales may well get close to 1 million then.
What does MS have to do with how many PS4s Sony is able to make?
Absolutely nothing. But they've probably helped sell quite a few!
Typical anti-MS behavior, so why let facts get in the way of spreading propaganda and FUD.
How do you figure that? MS didn't ship enough of the Xbox One so some people had to settle for a ps4?
Really? MS did more to give people a reason to buy a PS4 than any advertising by Sony ever did. You reap what you sow and all that.

Hold on, gimme a break. Something like 2x-3x dozen websites reported that it banned for swearing on Skype. Most of them were circulating the same story.
Follow your own advice, Check out the Arstechnica article i just discovered.
Pulled over from pre-order thread regarding the effect MS's XBOne execution has had on PS4 sales.
Sales of PS4 are almost certainly supply limited at this time. Those totals reflect how many units Sony was able to get onto shelves for launch and little more.
There may be a time when you can attribute a certain portion of the PS4's sales totals to MS's failings with the XBOne, but now is not that time. Besides, as a PS4 owner isn't it a more pleasant thought to think that PS4 is selling on its own merits? Why de-emphasize that in favor of a poorly thought out dig towards MS?
We could not have had such a successful launch if it weren't for our competitors. Many thanks and may the best one win second place. Either Mario or Halo, we wish both the best of luck
I've not seen an accurate press report for years. I've no reason to think other issues on which the press reports are any better researched, but certainly Government issues, technology and gaming are all a cluster fuck of mis-reporting and in this case it's not helped Microsoft.
I saw very little mainstream reporting on Sony. You think the same about Sony reporting?
I think the only cluster fuck of mis-reporting is publications trying to pass the tech differences between consoles as "not noticeable"
