BitTorrent 5.0.9: Abnormal CPU usage

My CPU is an AMDX2 4400, S939.

BitTorrent seems to be utilising a hell of a lot of CPU resources of late, 50% in fact. Is this normal? I only have about 8 Torrents on the go at any one time.

From what location?

When I download a .torrent (to be loaded up in a torrent client), I never save the .torrent to disk.

Redownload the torrent to the same dir using uTorrent. It'll do a hash check and carry on from where you left off in BitTorrent.

Second recommend to switch to uTorrent. I was a die-hard Azureus loyalist, until I actually tried uTorrent.

I switched and never looked back, uTorrent is just magnificent.

I figured closed-source was one of the reasons, as for the dubious activities, any links to a post, article, or other write-up detailing the activities? Also, does it apply to the old 1.6.1 version (ie: pre BitTorrent acquire)?
