Bioshock: in depth interview of gameplay

I'm not watching it, because:
a)interviewer seems a little bit TOO enthusiastic
b)I'm already sold on the game and I know it's going to be fantastic, but I don't want to see anymore spoilers. But it's good to know that you loved what you just saw.

This is the kind of game that would make me consider buying a 360 again.
Well, you can choose to play it on the PC, if you have a fast enough one. It also has a different (presumably "better") user interface than the 360 one.

I put the better in quotes, since I liked Deus Ex 2, which also got a "dumbified" console user interface.

As with all these multi platformers, I'll definately be going for the PC version. It is looking like a tremendous game though!

No my PC just runs Half Life 2 at low resolution and everything turned off.

wow... state of the art drop dead gorgeous graphics (particle effects and water WOW) and deep game play.

may be the first game that I buy for SP only in a long while.

Jesus Christ!! This is fucking mindblowing!!!

I need a better paying job right now

How on earth am I going to own this and a 360 with no money? I am still "consoleless"

PC bro. PC. But the specs haven't been released.

This game looks fantastic. And while I think we're getting way to many shooter games this generation, this one sticks out because of it's art direction, and the fact that you can set up traps for your enemies. :)

I'm probably going to get the PC version. But, I worry that my PC might have a hard time with it. 7800GT 256MB video card, 2 Gigs of RAM, 3700AMD processor, etc.

Here's to hoping. :|

I "almost" reach the recommend PC specs - Presler 3.2ghz dual core/2Gb ram/X-Fi and an 8800GTS 320mb but think i'll struggle at my monitors native res of 1920x1200 .

Still can't decide whether to get it for the PC for later mods etc or on the xbox 360 as I'll have no problem running it out of the box maxed out on that version plus there the achievements as well if thats your thing.

Quake 4 would connect to a server to check your CD key validity anytime the game was run. While its not the same it does seem to be the direction a few games have gone to prevent piracy. I'll be a little interested in seeing what this actually prevents/allows.

Hopefully its like Stalker and doesnt need the DVD in to play too which is just a nice convenience.

Quake 4 was quickly and easily cracked because of the method used, in fact I'd say its a game that is heavily played by people who don't own it online.

My copy of STALKER requires the DVD in to play

Anyway were going a bit OT in a console thread but lets hope its not a repeat of the HL2 activation where come 8am (uk time) on the day of release Valve's servers fell over under the strain and remained patchy for most of the day

The only reason it bothers me is because it's a iffy sort of process. What if I decide 10 years down the road that I want to install Bioshock again, but the validation/company is long gone? Wouldn't my game be essentially useless?

That's the only part that bothers me.
