Before and after MegaTexture scenes

so much so that I know no one who as even attempted an efficient implementation of aniso filtering with megatexturing. At that point, you'd really want a hardware page table/TLB that gets hit for each texture tap by the texture filtering hardware.

I wonder, something that might be in the design for Larrabee... would be an awesome selling point, free virtual texturing?
 
I don't mean full on megatexturing for free, but virtual texturing -> perhaps the ability to somehow handle a page fault on texture cache line fetch. It would be so un-CPU like not to have that ability.
But never had TMUs on a CPU before... I guess we have to wait and see.
