Baking soda and peroxide toothpaste

How good is this toothpaste against all other stuff?
If you are talking about adding backing soda to some peroxide and brushing... nasty. Have tried it... yuck. As for the name brand stuff, I dunno how well it works relatively.

You two.
I'm talking about Colgate's toothpaste.
I read somewhere on the Internet that it was abrasive.
Just wondering if any of you guys know anything about it.

Yes it is abrasive. (Baking powder is also abrasive in this case). Got to get rid of the build up of plaque/tartar/calculus** somehow.

(** That always used to make me smirk in the dentist's chair).

Personally I think hydrogen peroxide in toothpaste sucks. Yes, it kills bacteria, but I (and others) think it upsets the natural fauna/flora of the mouth and ultimately leads to worse bad breath than the average person has. I've never tried the Colgate brand, but I did try Mentadent and it made my mouth feel weird.
