From Xboxyde (who else?) Looking really good--REALLY grey, but grey is my 1b favorite color hahaha. I have no clue what kind of game it is, but I like what I see. Buildings don't look great up close, but the large city scape is really neat! I guess I am a sucker for games with large worlds in realtime... I hope that is what this is!

 What u mean you don't know what kind of game it is?!
It's a Mech game. But not like ZOE.

the second pic looks great.

I can't imagine what ZOE3 will look like.

Well durh!! ;)

I meant how does it play. Sim, arcade, more tactical, over the top, small area battles, more of a RPG, FPS, 3rd person, "Rampage" type rounds, what?

I played the old PC Mechwarrior games which were mission oriented, free roaming, FPS, tactical type game. I also played the Sega mech game with dual analog sticks and that was more of a fighting game with mechs. Then there are those "Rampage" type games where you mash, smash, and destroy the city.

That is all I meant :D Will it be inline MP ?

after ZOE2 poor sales, we may not see a ZOE3.

If konami approves of ZOE3, they should look at Xbox 360. RSX bandwidth presents a problem to ZOE's art.

The ZOE games, especially the second one, sold more than comfortably, considering what they were. Sure they didn't sell millions, but they sold more than enough to grant sequels. If ZOE3 won't be made, it surely won't be because of apparently "low sales" of ZOE2.

PS3 will handle any kind of particle-crazy game just fine.

Konami promoted ZOES heavily but the returns were very poor. i read somewhere the sales are very low. ZOE didn't become the big franchise they wanted.

RSX will handle particles just fine but there is no denying Xenos is an order faster for such task.

ZOE3 on PS3 is like ZOE2 on Xbox, you can have it, but the art have to change.

games in armored core series are mission-based third-person action sims similar to vitua-on(the sega game that you have mentioned) and mechwarrior. The games in these series usually have unlimited number of mech custimization options and some really cool mecha designs. Its gameplay is less arcadey than virtua-on and less sim like mech-warrior.

Are you basing this on facts or are we going to have a discussion about this?

Both games sold more than a million units worldwide together. Not bad for Kojima's "baby". You know, ZOE was always "the other game Kojima's making". It was never meant to be a blockbuster.

As i said, PS3 will handle crazy particle effects just fine. As has been shown already. No point in making comparisons which are completely flawed.

I've no problem with grey if it's realistic. The first pic looked goodish at first but the instancing of geometry became apparent very quickly. It'd be easy to get lost there's only a half dozen types of buildings! I guess the model types will increase and these pics are tests that the city rendering can cope. The other two pics seem too empty to have any opinion on.

I'll second this.

Thirded. Anyone catch the smoke in the Warhawk vids... it is looks amazing. I wonder if the new afterburner will feature good smoke too. The original arcade had really amazing 16bit smoke especially for the time it came out.
