I know the thread was locked but reading that article had made me almost crap myself. i cant beleive a Site can be so biased... They call the PS3 a waste of 600 dollars and say what is 200 dollars more for? An all in one system maybe? The 360 costs the same amount in the end as the PS3 if you include all the parts which makes me just confused as ever.... Some of the games looked better on 360 and some on the PS3 but for me- games like Marvel UA and even Ridge Racer I can say that they video and image they showed looked nothing alike what I see on my TV, They looked like crap...And on all the shots its like the TV's brightness is jacked up to the Max......My TV doesnt look anything like there shots on at least 3 of the games (call of duty 3 looked not even close to as bright as it was....) Sorry for my completly ****** post- but Articles like that shouldnt be aloud to be posted. And then if you saw the users- On some games I couldnt even tell a different through the images.....yet most would say 360 is better - which is fine knwoing that at this point theres a lot more 360 owners... But im just ticked off at the writer and the site. Anyone else share my thoughts? I couldnt beleive some of the bad shots that were taking on both systems....and how every shot on the ps3 was much brighter (maybe they should adjust there TV?)

I think what they were complaining about in their latest article is that Sony talked and talked for a year about how xbox360 is xbox1.5 and how PS3 is a supercomputer and can generate real emotions, and then it comes out with buggy firmware, lack of scaling support for certain modes, and games that are mainly graphically worse than those than can be found on x360 (including multiplatform titles). Not every system deserves equal praise.
And the PS3 is more expensive...

edit: The PS3 outputs a lighter image, slightly washed out image (contrast issue). Sure this can be adjusted, but they used the same tv with no changes in calibration. Thats how it would look. And I think the main point is that the majority of those games DO look the same on both systems, except the PS3 gives you those graphics with more erratic framerates AND costs more doing it.

I agree that 1Up has a rogue (and idiotic) editor among them, but this topic should definitely be locked. What is the point of a topic of discussion being centered around just how pointless or stupid a given piece of news actually is?

In before the close: I don't agree with you calling the editor an idiot. The commentary is not at all unusual for these kinds of sites. This isn't the wall street journal and doesn't need to act like it. His honesty (note: this is an editorial) is refreshing, although the whole "what the cell is going on bit" is fairly stupid. I think he could've made this article into a more interesting, cogent piece, rather than this seemingly rampant ******ism. The fact that the article has a great point to make using good visuals is undermined by the style of the article.
Washed out Image? Honestly Im not comparing or listening to anything the article says but i can definitly tell you from MY EYES on my TV that the Image is not washed out and the contrast is very much the same on my TV- and having had both systems im not just being a ****** and saying this.
