There seems to be two ways to deal with glitches on the PC... Ignore them, or fix them in patches. For console games it is more difficult because most of them don't have a harddrive to support patches, so they have to make another DVD (or CD). This is until PS3 came along and included a harddrive. Now it is like a PC, allowing you to get updated patches to fix bugs.
However, glitches happen to provide some good points, as it allows some free advertisement for the game companies. They can be considered easter eggs or hidden secrets that are unlocked for the more ambitious gamers. If the glitches are not bugs that are show stoppers then it is fine.
