Any word on that 3d remake of Chrono Trigger?

I remember seeing pics of this fan project which attempted to create a whole new graphics engine for the classic RPG, the pics seemed impressive, does anyone know anything about it and how far along the project may be?

Square-Enix send the team a good ol' cease and desist letter.

That's sad because the project had really good artist working on it.

To be honest, even if they continued the project it would have taken them years to develop the whole game. SQ might have already released their own remake by then.
