Think about how awsome it was . He hated vampires so much taht he resurected dracula just to kill him again . Now that is friggen awsome .

IIRC Simon was under a curse, so he had to resurrect him and kill him again in order to break the curse on him.

Pretty sure that's right, though it wouldn't surprise me if jvd's storyline was true for at least one of the castlevania's? Really, who pays attention to why they're killing Dracula, and how many different ones can Konami come up with?
