Annoying context switching

I'm working in an application and suddenly Windows switches the context to another app/program that needs input.

This is annoying. How do I disable this? I remember there was an option in one of those win tweak programs, but can't remember the name.

Help me please.

Thank you very much.

TweakUI had an option like that. It is available from Microsoft and I think you will find it if you search for PowerToys.

I'm not sure how well it worked though.

It's not a context switch; that happens thousands of times per second and you don't see that.

You're talking about application focus, and Windows f'ing pees me off when it does that. I'll be merrily typing along or doing something, and a damned dialog box pops up and if I just happen to be typing the right letters, I end up answering OK or Cancel or some other stupid thing that I didn't intend.

And even with TweakUI's "do not allow applications to steal focus" enabled, it still happens.

So far it seems that Vista stops that annoying behavior; here's hoping it stays that way.
