in the competition between PS2 Xbox and GC we say the difference was not the processor, not the bandwidth but the power of the GPU

If we take in laymen terms we could say Xbox > GC > PS2 in terms of graphical quality

In this generation PS3 and Xbox 360 will have an equally powered GPU, will we see the same quality graphics till the end of the generation, cuz i was under the impression the graphics are the GPUs speciality, not necessarily the CPU.

Xbox 360 = PS3 > Revolution

No..

i thinks its going to more like ps3>xbox360>>>>>>>>>>>>>REVO in gfx.

As you said the gpu are about the same but the cpu are a big differencein performance.

I just remember the london demo from e3 and that didn't use the Rsx. If the cell can do those type of gfx, i can't wait to see the 2nd/3nd gen games for the ps3. :D

Q. In regard to PS3, because few devkits are supplied, I hear 2 kinds of opinions. Some expect it'd be hard to extract performance and others are surprised as they can extract performance very easily in an actual development. How is it in the real development scene?

A. To be honest, since it has so much margin in performance, we've heard no such feedback that it's difficult to develop on it. Naturally it's different from single-core programming, but it doesn't add to man hours required for game development that much. I repeat it but entertainment programmers have tremendous ability.

For example we showed the demo that renders London City, it's not rendered in the GPU but the CELL does lighting and texture processing then outputs it to the frame buffer. Even without GPU, only CELL can create good enough 3D graphics.

But the games dev will make the difference between the 2 systems.

yes I know but wasnt the EE more powerful than the Xbox CPU, that was a fact. it was 3 times more powerful

With no XeCPU demo of grpahics creation, how do you know that it couldnt do the same thing? Silly comparison really.

But like i said it's really up to the game dev. Both are awesome systems.

That's what you say here but at the IGN Insider boards you proudly post "xbots you guys still mad about the xbox 1.5", concerning the MGS4 scans.

Remember, the online gaming community is not as big as you think. Why do you even post here trying to be unbiased but yet act like a total pro-Sony, anti-microsoft fanboi at a different site?

Go back to IGN because I'm not buying your unbiased persona here at the B3D boards.
