    But you can not prevent some async background task, or access to some minor data from thrashing your caches.
    Having some control sounds like a nice option to have in some cases. Hearing them thinking about extensions sounds even better.

    Question re Infinity Cache: what clock domain does it use, core clock = IC clock speed?

    It's separate from the core clock. AFAIK, it runs on a clock domain of its own - between 1,49 and 1,94 GHz, depending on boost-enabling circumstances such as power draw and temperature.
