absolutely enormous PGR3 picture

Regular
absolutely enormous PGR3 picture (Edge Magazine Cover)

Edge Magazine cover:

(pretty sure this doesn't count as posting a scan, because it is merely a cover and no proprietary content; the guy at XBoxyde doesn't post scans from Euro/US magazines and yet deemed this okay - but if it isn't then just edit out the link or let me know)

the news story itself explains everything

edit - forgot to add my 2 cents ;)

I think it's great - you can see the motion blur and it's going to add so much realism to the sense of speed imo (from the trailer it looked quite realistic)

I would like to see some shots of a sunny tokyo though, because whilst the flat dull look is typical of such an overcast day i would like to see how the buildings come to life when under a sunny sky.

When was the last time a real untouched ingame screen was used as a magazine cover....?
Or even a screen from game engine that was not rendered much higher resolution and better AA than ingame?

You're correct! ....Never!!

i don't doubt that it has higher levels of AA, but it could easilly be otherwise untouched (there are no obvious signs of such to me)... and the question of course is how different will it actually look with just the 2 or 4x aa.

either way it's still a nice game engine generated screen for us to look at

The picture showing from bizarre is only a hype.It is a strategy to avoid critictism about
the 60 Frames/s question. The Developer wants to and cannot confirm PGR3 up to now with 60fps. In the forums Threads are simply extinguished to the subject 60 fps and PGR3 on the part of the Admins. Therefore, PGR3 does not come with 60fps and they want to confirm of course only at the end with the explanation that it has nearly worked, and only not enough time was, but then one has decided, nevertheless, on sure 30fps. Is also not surprising; one develops a 30fps play, around with the nicer Screenshots of a 30fps of play to advertise before the release of the XBox360 and then tells that it had sufficed nearly for 60fps. Nice advertisement just.Bizarre has not confirmed 60 FPS, that it does, in fact, confirm that the game will run at 30 FPS. Further, Bizarre saying that they're aiming for 60 FPS to avoid criticism.

okay, trying to derive something about frame rate from a SCREENSHOT is just utterly idiotic and blatent trolling...

please crawl back into that cave and come out only when you can make sense

LOL...thats exactly went through my head when I read that post. I was like....isn't this thread about a screenshot? Come on, how does FPS come into this?

To stay on topic, the picture is real cool..and I like how they spanned the image over the back and front of the cover like that. I love 16:9 and can't wait to start playing these racing games in 720p.

Aside from that why would they commit to a framerate when the game isn't finished. How about u let them actually use the beta hardware and see what they can do with it before you start flames
