AXED more like. Inventors of the BS gpu. Only good for paper launches. Straight down the toilet. Nice to see someones busy there! 
At least there's one good thing out of the so called delay. Its never out of date always keeping up with dx development.
After this latest update on their tech. May I suggest we refrain from further speculation on their efforts till we se something concrete!
At the moment they should get work as ranchers.
They'd get more money for the amount of manure they keep spreading around.

in the light of the news that just hit me, I don't have much reason to visit here anymore at least in the near future.
so, it has been a one helluva ride as long as it has continued, but happenings during last 3 months have showed that there really isn't room for me and to my ideas. (especially when everything I used to support is basically gone or went awfully wrong.)
some of you know where to find me, if needed.

Nappe...you just cannot expect a warm reception, or even a shred of confidence, about a company that has announced products multiple times and never delivered. Personally, I don't care much what BitBoys has to offer, or announces, until they have cards on the shelves. Not until then will they be worth considering.
Once they've delivered at least one product, pre-product speculation may make sense...right now they've not produced anything, for whatever reason, so everybody who doubts whether they'll release anything has significant grounds for that doubt.
Reasons don't matter: results matter.
It really looks like things behind my decision needs a bit more clarification.

I really doubt that ÃœberLord bothers even to read this, but where the hell you have you been?? I thought that at least all the regulars saw that "Few Pictures..." thread, perhaps few Guests too. I think you are so called whiners that wouldn't be happy even if they would deliver the moon from the sky. (hey, you can always say that they didn't do it. they just delivered it. it's not theirs.)
and you Chalnoth, since when I posted that reply as "1eppan" to the nVNews, where was a link to the Xabre benchmarks here, I have been regretting that. ( I am not sure if that "caused" you to find your way here, but at least before that I didn't had seen your posts here and after that first you posts appeared. why I am regretting?? well, keep that as a secret. I doubt that you would understand...) you really should read the following chapter, because it seems you aren't talking same thing.
I have been here since March 2001 and I was defending Bitboys (as also Matrox.) a way before that, so I, if someone, should know what to expect when posting BB stuff. (Chalnoth: so be that a last time when YOU are teaching ME how to take Bitboys critique.)
and let me do this straight why I am doing this:
- There isn't anymore such thing as Bitboys Next Gen for PC-Market. There might have been or haven't been. I am not going to disclosure what they last had on R&D (and I really doubt it would have any impact to the situation.) , before deciding turing the whole ship to PDA / Cellular stuff. Still, this doesn't mean they couldn't return to PC-Market, but atm, it looks like it will not happen during next 12 months.
- Matrox Parhelia was a full flop. And I even understand now what went wrong. Still Of Course Matrox has nice fancy roadmap and eventhough I haven't seen it, you really don't need a "Crystal Ball" (greetings to worlds best behaving fan site, MURC.) to realize that they have always released new chip only once in a year. So follower of Parhelia is at least 8 Months away.
- Radeon 9700 and NV30 really doesn't wake my interest up. Of Course it will be fancy to see if and how nVidia is able to answer Radeon 9700's power and are they big and flexible enough company to get their NV30 follower out at the same time with R400. each day without NV30 being in shops they lose potential time to sell it as fastest and greatest.
- Others: SIS Xabre II could be finished before xmas but I think it takes to next year see it on the shops (if they decide bring it to europe. perhaps chinese market buys all the manufacturing capacity agian.) S3/Columbia... just to tease Chalnoth I have to say that I want to see this one being released before judging it as a Miracle card or a piece crap coming from siberia.
- So generally speaking, GFX HW Scene looks pretty booring for me during next 6 months at least. I am also very bored to see same ppl here stating just how good their favourite manufacturer is. (if you now got an idea of "I know who he means!!!", it is time to you look your own belly button and ask "am I doing the same?" and yes, I have this same problem too. but I have found a way to solve it.) Another thing that I have been bored to hell is correcting wrongly based accusions directed to Bitboys. Only thing I am suprised that on one hasn't dig up Pyramid3D in the negative meaning for long time here, so maybe I really did something for good.
so, real reason is for my "vacation" (I have to come back, just because I have promised stay here at least until they deliver.) is that during few last weeks, I haven't found anything that this site could offer me. Neither it looks like I will not have much to offer to this site. if I want read a flame wars, I go to Rage3D or nVNews. If I want to be a wannabe guru, I goto MURC or NEED FOR SPEED editing sites. Only thing this site has to offer is those quality reviews, and only thing on the ppl's minds right now is the NV30. and really seems that this autumn is going to be a less exciting than a last year; only one chip launch.
just wake me up when the Columbia hits the reviews. even if it would be a piece of crap.

In any case (as I've said before) predictions indicate that the mobile/PDA market will give very high revenues. If all goes well they'll probably use those cash inflows for future products development.
Not really the first time I see something similar; difference being that the competition is a wee bit more ahead as it seems.

I don't have more info than anybody else, but I did look at that page when this thread was new, and it did include NEC.
Then Nappe1 (who seem to have more inside info than the general public) says "in the light of the news that just hit me, I don't have much reason to visit here anymore at least in the near future", and a short time thereafter NEC disapears from the list.

I didn't doubt for a second that it was actually there. I'm not surprised when information like that "magically" disappears. Very similar to some other company's presentation where after jpeg Nr. 47 suddenly only cute little's "X"s appear *snicker*
