[360, PS3] Lost Planet 2

I so wanted to like the demo, but I HATED how it controlled. H-A-T-E-D I-T. The addition of some GeoW2 characters is nice ... maybe Horde v2.0? I wanna like this game as I like the concept and visual direction.

Yeah, the 3 people who couldn't adjust from playing other games too long.;)

Go look up the reviews for LP and see if there's anything pointing to bad controls. The problem with many people nowadays who call themselves "gamers" is that some of them just suck at adapting to something they're not used to. I've played hundreds of LP multiplayer battles and none of the people who know what they're doing have any problems controlling the characters with crazy agility. The funny thing is when you ask the complainers why they don't like the controls for XYZ game they can't come up with a good explanation and unwilling to admit they just suck at adapting to different control schemes.

And fanboys say call anyone who disagrees is a whiner and they must suck before they even hear the other side, so there.

I just love it when Amatuers complain how SF controls suck vs SC controls because button mashing can't get them to win a match.

Speaking of fanboys, you honestly sound like one yourself but for some other game that you've gotten so used to and can't hang with the big boys when it comes to LP. ;)

It's ok, I understand...other games don't have grappling hooks to worry about....go play your run, jump, duck, shoot games and let the pros handle games with rolls and grappling hooks.

For what it's worth, I never liked LP's controls either. But then again, I don't care for 3rd person shooters either. Game looked/looks great though, no argument there.

Ignoring the rather childish response below, I couldn't stand LP1's controls either. There's was some alternate control scheme though that made it much better - something that fixed the aiming reticule in the centre of the screen if I remember correctly. It was fine after that (not ideal, but very playable). Does LP2 have something similar?

yes

The same question about ps3 version: why there are so different opinion about its laggy? I know someone who said the RE 5 situation is a miles far to LP 2 others the exact opposite... what's going on here?

Have no idea, I just know that on my lowly 3G connection I get no perceivable lag most of the time. I only get lag sometimes and it's likely my ISP.

He's referring to the random momentary pause/freezing, which incidentally does happen more frequently if any of your partners has a slow connection.

Anyway, the game has a trophy/achievement list for those who like challenge and have patience to boot. Luckily, to max out weapons and whatnot, there is a point and [X] box farming trick in Chapter 5-3. Host excepted, if any of the partners guides the laser cannon, they can potentially end up with 20,000 experience points. And if you stick around in the enemy ship at the end, you can get 100 boxes.

For those of you who have game saves for RE5, you can choose Wesker as a playable character in LP2. Also if you downloaded and played the Demo you'll be able to get a special machine gun to use in the full LP2 game.

Yeah, I've been using Wesker all this time.

If you have a LP1 save, Frank West is unlocked from the get go too. A DMC4 save gives you a nom de guerre (as does a RE5 save). On the 360, you need a Dead Rising save for Frank, and the rest of the save unlocks are similar on both platforms.

Btw, if it hasn't been mentioned, two Helghast skins from Killzone 2 will be available in June for free and a Monster Hunter 3 skin later this month.
