[360] Fable III

Can't wait! This is gonna be so damn awesome :( Best damn opening cinematic for a game that I can recall for a while.

Had a chance to play this game at the MS booth today. Was pretty good! I played the combat demo and I liked it a lot. It was rather similar to Fable 2, which is a good thing for me as I liked this game a lot! Looking forward to this one for sure!!

Nice open areas... weather. I think I might wait for the PC version.... art assets are kinda making me pause. :s

Wow, didn't realize how big Fable 3 is compared to Fable 2.

Would love to know what kind of improvements they made for the engine over Fable 2.

They improved their content creation pipeline they can work 10 times faster with fable 3 then they could with 2.

^yeah, and the dumb-ass pooch couldn't even dig up stuff on his own.
I take it you didn't bond with the dog? That was a BIG deal with Fable 2. Did it just come down to being a dumb henchman for some players? Did anyone get emotional attached to their virtual pet?

I did. I thought the dog was great.

Sure, it couldn't dig up things on its own. Big deal.

I loved my pooch.

I wish they would have let us do even more with the dog, such as spend time with it to teach it tricks or improve its skills rather than just buying books for it. Or if it mattered if you actually played ball with it or not and that would raise a loyalty score or something.

But.. if anything, more dog and more in-depth doggie improvements. Not less!

This just in folks!

MEGATON!

Can't believe that this is coming out next week, the collector's edition is priced at 60$ here & it looks beefy, seems like a nice deal. Anyways I'm divided over this game, I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere in Fable games but I despise the combat (its decent in Fable 1 though) & the way the storyline unfolds.

I never preordered. I guess it's too late for that. Didn't realize there was a quest exclusive to the preorder. And I didn't realize the collector's edition included so much exclusive content. That's a pain in the ass. I went on blackout for this game, because I didn't want to spoiler anything. Maybe I'll see if I can preorder one on my way home.

MEGATON!

Hahaha, thanks for the good laugh mate. :D

All Bungie made games. :D

ME - Bioware
Fable - Lionhead/MS
Halo - Bungie. Well at least he got one of those right.

But he kinda missed the part where MS owns the IP for Halo. :D

Oh I needed a good laugh for today.

Regards,
SB

I've noticed this seems to be the new thing...rather than extravagant $149 collectors editions, make them nearly as cool and price just a bit above the normal version, where it becomes a "why not?" to the buyer.

Both Fable 3 and Fallout: NV collectors editions looked pretty neat and are "only" $80.

Seems like a good idea to throw a couple dollars worth of Chinese made trinkets in, and earn about $18 more profit from the buyer.

BTW this game seems is pretty popular. Has been number 1 on Amazon for a while now and VGCharts has the preorders already over 500k I think with two weeks to go. It's a seemingly well liked 2nd tier franchise for MS. I'm thinking of Molyneaux's comments that franchises need to sell 5 million or perish now as well.
