I sucked it home a couple hours ago, haven't had time to read up on any possible changes. So... What changed? :D

Sure hope the background downloading feature made it in, but I'm not too optimistic about that seeing as I still can't access the dashboard without aborting the DVD I'm currently watching. Stupid microsoft... :???:

According to some, the background downloading has not made its way in yet.

"Here are some of the changes in this update:

* Improvements to the Xbox Guide.
* Option to retain your saved games when you delete a profile.
* Increased accuracy of "last time played."
* Network configuration improvements for Xbox Live® members in the Netherlands.
* More detailed messaging for unreadable disk or region errors."

hmm..... don't see myself rushing to turn on my 360 to download this bad boy.....

an update with a bit more meat wouldn't go amiss...

lol, lame! Although, improvements to Xbox Guide could mean anything...

I just want a download queue, not that there's much left to download anymore....they need more content too.

well, while we're sort of on the subject

of downloands on 360, is it possible to change the damn music on PGR (or any game for that matter) to use your own? Seems insane I can link every CD I own to the Xbox, but have to listen to their mix in the game. :( Why this no-brainer feature is not included is beyond me, since all the content is right THERE.

Also, anyone try using napster radio on extender, mine doesn't work for squat, it runs in an endless loop. Live365 works really well though.

Back on that topic nothing in that update sounds like anything worth raving about....

Press the guide button, goto select music or something like that.

Then you can stream from your HDD, External devices, PC Shares, and PC Playlists, all in game, for every game. Even has independant volume controls...

TY scooby, will try it tonight. :) :)

np! The 360 browser is a mess, it basically takes all your shares, and folders and slaps em in one big list, that's like 300pixels wide.

So...playlists are your friends!

I just set up winamp playlists (m3u's) and slap those in your main music share, then on the 360 you can simply goto playlists, and the PC ones will show up in your list. Works great for setting up different styles/mixes, or game specific soundtracks.

I think it also 'fixes' some sort of exploit from the demo disc that was released in the kiosks. That exploit may have been the main reason for this update.

I just realized today, what else I would like as an update, besides background downloading and a d/l queue. Begin able to preview a song or music. I was looking at the RR6 d/l's and they have about 10 or 20 tracks that you can d/l, well, how the hell am I supposed to know which one I want without being able to listen to(preview) them.
