The only issue I have with the Apple panel is the almost total lack of controls. There's a +/- control that controls the brightness and then there is a power on off switch. And thats it, no on screen menu or anything. Apparently there would be a mac software with further controls but its not something that can be used with a pc apparently.
To add to the agony, the buttons seem to be software buttons and the software sometimes crashes. Result is that the only way to power off the monitor sometimes is to unplug the cable. Oh and there seems to be some kind of driver problem too that causes corruption unless I select lower dvi frequency in the control panel
Other than that its great, I don't really even miss more controls since everything is very much ok by default. No ghosting that I can see, contrast isn't quite as good as it was with my 21" crt but that is to be expected. The contrast is a lot better than my tft based DLP television's contrast though. Viewing angle to me seems to be just craaaazy, doesn't matter which angle I decide to look at it, there's barely any difference in contrast, certainly not enough to notice unless specifically looking for it and having a very dark picture. Gets just a wee bit brighter when looking from almost 0 angle.
all that said, I think if I was able to choose again, I would consider getting the Dell model rather than this one. My choice here was based purely on the immediate availability and little else.
