I guess I just get tired of the same old arguments from people with emotional problems. Cybamerc has an IRATIONAL hatred of MS/Xbox that drives him to argue the smallest point against it. Teasy has an IRATIONAL love of Nintendo that makes him do the same as far as Nintendo is concerned.
At some point I just call it like I see it. Only a fool or MS-hating fboy would argue that Doom III is not coming to Xbox. It's ridiculous.
I used to have an IRATIONAL hatred of Sony/PS2. I thank Vince, Marconelly, Faf, and others on this board for helping me to balance my views. For instance, I've recently stated my true opinion on PS2: That it's a system with some good/great games that I don't personally need to play but think more than justify the price of the hardware. It's just my preference.
I still have SOME bias, but I don't post anti-PS2 crap anymore and I don't argue with people who say that PS2 has a great games lineup or offers a lot to casual gamers. I also underestimated the technical features it has. In other words, I'm trying to be more objective, but it's a slow steady process.
People like Teasy and Cybamerc would be well-served by wrestling with their own gaming demons instead of arguing incesistantly against obvious truths.
Obvious truths (just to pick three recent examples):
Nintendo's main target demographic is young kids.
Factor 5 is VERY biased in favor of the Gamecube hardware they helped create.
Doom III is coming to Xbox.
I was a slave to my hatred of Sony/PS2 for awhile. Release your anger guys. In the end, it's not worth the energy.
Some of my friends criticize my kiddy Cube. I just tell them: Alot of my Cube games are for kids (SMS, Starfox), but I LIKE kids games. They're fun, but I don't delude myself into thinking that Starfox and Mario weren't made primarily for children. The mature response is admitting the truth and dealing with it.
There's less arguments that way...
