In 2025, we are witnessing something new, games that are using small language models to do on device/local AI inferencing, accelerated by GPUs for smart in game AI. This will be the list of these games, games that do online or cloud inferencing will not be on this list.
1-inZOI: will use a small language model based on 0.5B billion parameter Mistral NeMo Minitron running on-device, distilled to "provide quality outputs at low latency in a compact footprint", which is then GPU-accelerated exclusively on GeForce RTX GPUs.
2-NARAKA: BLADEPOINT: will use a small language model running on the device locally to do smart teammates.
3-Dead Meat: using Mistral-NeMo-Minitron-8B-128K small language model to provide the dialogue text/audio, generated locally, on the GPU.
4-AI People: uses Gemma 2.9B model running locally on a GeForce RTX GPU to generate smart NPCs and variable stories.
5-PUBG: will use a small language model based on the Mistral-Nemo-Minitron-8B-128k-instruct model to enables smart AI teammates to communicate using game-specific lingo, provide real-time strategic recommendations, find and share loot, drive vehicles, and fight other human players using the game's extensive arsenal of weapons".
