I would guess proton doesn’t handle ray tracing as well as rasterization. I’d dual-boot Linux and use windows for incompatible anti cheat and performance.

I hope with SteamOS more game companies will support Linux (with anti-cheat, RT, etc.). Yes, for people with only one machine, dual boot can be a hassle, but for people with separate working and gaming machines, it's much easier to make a Linux box without all those weird applications running in the background eating memory and CPU cycles.
now that windows protection popups starts happening again, and its blocking build-in apps from accessing my documents. including remote desktop (for saving the connection profiles), and even snipping tool (to save the screenshot via win shift s).
it seems my windows 11 no longer trust its own apps
