Should I buy a 3DS XL that cant read cartridges?

Hi everyone, great forum here

I have an opportunity to buy a 3DS XL handheld for very cheap but it can't read game cartridges. Can I still use it to play games through the flash drive? Can I download games onto the 3DS still?

I have never owned a 3DS before so I know nothing about them. This would be great help.

I would advice against that. You can download games from the e-shop to the sd card, but not nearly all of them.

many game nowadays are dual release. eShop and Physical.

eShop game give 2x nintendo point club. (if i remeber correctle )

Just depends on how cheap, and/or what games you intend to play and if they are available on the eShop ... shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I'd probably go for it if cheap enough.

There are still some games not out on eShop. Plus Nintendo don't have account system. Just get it if it is cheap enough and return it to Nintendo so they can fix it.
