I think Infamous was no match to TitanFall and PS4 still winning is impressive and winning with a comfortable margin... With FF this month, MLB next month and then possible TLOU and other titles in between i think things are looking pretty good... Only if we remember what were the hopes a year...
thats not impressive either.. considering in Feb XBO sold 258 / 4 (in 4 weeks) So 64.5k per week..
Now in March 311/5 (in 5 weeks) so 62.2k per week.. which is 2k less than last month with unofficial price cut and bundling..
Thats a very good and reasonable assumption but the other point is that it may put the XB1 perception as a $450 machine instead of $500 and secondly there are not many exclusives in the immediate future for the people to continue that subscription and thirdly the multi-plats are also mostly...
I think its more of the first then the second.. Price drop so soon after launch especially when u have not even launched in all territories does not speak confidence you have in your product. and it can effect publishers confidence too.. Secondly internal voices against XBOX division in MS might...
In USA its almost available now on Amazon, Gamestop, Best Buy with order online and in store pick up.. So i believe UK thirst will be satisfied pretty soon too and then the other not so important territories.
I think you are too optimistic.. we will be lucky to see PS4 doing 100k second week. neither i expect Sony sending large shipments to Japan when the battlegrounds are in the west..
I think even if PS4 does > 12M that will be a success and will make it a very viable platform for japanese 3rd parties... Many of the japanese games i dont think need more than 500k to make a good profit.. Like Yakuza its been selling around 600k and is a nice success..
So only thing that is...

Looking at the latest weekly figures of Germany Top 50.. i wander how serious is the situation of XBO in Europe (exclusing UK)

Some good analysis. I think the drop of XBO in Jan is more worrying than anything else. but it certainly not going Wii U way right now.. and painting it like a total doom and gloom scanerio is not i believe a bit too extreme.
