More than likely, Sony has a promotional (bundling) agreement in place with Rockstar.
Anyhow, I guess I will be double dipping when the PC version (2028?) becomes available. Until then, the PS5 Pro will have to do.
Sony owns the marketing rights for GTA/Rockstar for quite some time now. They're more than willing to pay the top dollar to keep it as they were with COD.
Hopefully, the PS6 and the next Xbox doesn't push the PC edition further out. But we're talking about Rock$tar here...

Because they haven't since about the 3rd one when consoles (see edited bits) started becoming a thing and it's been a consistent pattern ever since? It's R*, PC release will be a year behind console release.
EDITED BITS: By consoles I mean the modern console era started by Xbox and PS3.
