Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos to DS

I was suprised that nobody had posted this already considering the amount of people who seem to love this game here (Xenosaga that is). I've never played it, should I be looking forward to it a lot?

Here's the article from IGN:

December 01, 2004 - On the eve of the Nintendo DS Japanese launch (five more hours!), Nintendo updated its Japanese software list with a couple of big surprises for RPG fans. According to the list, Namco will bring Baten Kaitos DS and Xenosaga DS to the DS.

If you don't keep up with the console RPG scene, both of these titles, developed by Namco subsidiary Monolith Software, are epic releases on their respective platforms. Xenosaga has remained a PlayStation 2 exclusive in its first two installments with Baten Kaitos currently being available exclusively for the GameCube.

Nothing is known about the DS versions of the games, but as a first step, just knowing that they exist will make purchasing a DS early Thursday morning all the easier.

Is it turn-based? If it is then no thanks. If not then I'll have to to try this game out because I've never played any of the Xenosaga games.

Nice, but I wonder how it will all work out... Commands with the touch screen, battles/graphics on the top screen?

Now that Nintendo has revised it's sales projections two times on row, it seems logical more companies will support the system... :)

Unfortunately, Xenosaga2 is an uncompleted title with conflicting and poor game designs. That experience is enough to make me consider giving up on the series altogether.
