way to twist what I said...porsche is a premium product with premium parts - all the X360 add-ons are standard parts inside propritry cases and you pay 3x the value of the item.
Twist what you said? You just said it again. Why exactly do you think that Porsche is a premium product with premium parts and the 360 isn't?
When the 360 launched, unlike the Wii or the PS3, it was the most powerful gaming platform available. It didn't matter how much you wanted to pay for your PC, you couldn;t buy or build one as powerful. Sure, now that the intel iCore series is out, there are far more powerful options at a lower entry price. But that wasn't the case when the 360 launched. It's the same as any Porsche that comes to market with new lighter materials or a better more economical turbo. It's at the top of the market for maybe one year, and after that, you can replicate everything in the Porsche through after market products at 1/2 or 1/3 the cost.
You are being ridiculous saying that the 360 isn't worth a premium price but that a Porsche is. First, you are ignoring the differences in the market place, second you are glossing over very important price point differentials, and finally, you're making a determination that to YOU "Porsche" means quality while "MS" doesn't.
You do realize that people pay extra money to buy Microsoft mice and keyboards, etc.. rather than Logitech, just because they are branded by MS, right?
Microsoft IS a premium brand, just like Porsche.
As is Sony. Which is why I have a Sony HDTV instead of a Best Buy house brand Insignia HDTV that I could have gotten a 42 inch instead of my 32 inch for the same price.
Your argument is invalid. And you're lucky I don't want to piss this forum off, otherwise I'd post a picture of a cat pushing a watermelon out of a lake right here.
