Considering that Gears of War is not a launch title and would thus get final kits later than many, yes. This also means that retail grade X360 hardware is able to be manufactured, which is expected but definitely good news.

So yeah. 2, 2.5 months for developers to use final kits and for MS to build X360s seems decent.

Mmmm... Gears of War is still a valuable title for MS because it's exclusive, and from a top-tier developer, so it's not like Epic would really be *that* late to receive kits compared to other developers.

Its a Microsoft game, so its up to them to do whatever they desire with it. Though, who really cares whether or not they release a PC version 1-2 years after the console version?

It is an Epic game, published by MS. If the contract they made states it is only for consoles, then MS would be hard pressed to force the issue. Cliffy says its for console only, and Bill gates (or whoever it was that made the comment) states it is for PC and 360 -- I'd honestly believe Cliffy over someone who is barely related to the project and probably hasn't even thumbed through the publishing agreement. I think they'll have to renegotiate if they want a PC version as well.

That's true, they did. But is it totally exclusive or timely exclusive? I believe that's the biggest question.

Cliff B said it was exclusive, and that they arent even thinking about the PC right now. Allard said that if demand is there, than yeah it would make sense to port it for the PC. What will happen? Maybe you will get a port of it, but EPic wont start working on it till the Xbox 360 version has shipped, and maybe it wont even be EPIC doing it. And you will gget your port 1 year maybe more later.

The game will be marketed as Xbox 360 only, and maybe after a few months they will officially announce the PC port, but hey, JAde Empire was also supposed to make its way to the PC, and we still havent heard crap about it.
