I kind of miss the traditional "Easter Beer Hunt" my wife's parents neighbors used to hold every year, it was a great tradition!
Every year Bill would stay up late drinking and spend all night with friends hiding beers in his and my wife's parents yard who they lived next door to, then the next day starting at 9am anyone was welcome to come by and try and find them.
It turned into an all day party affair with a couple of kegs, open bar, and a chili cooking contest so there was lots of tasty grub. Lots of smiles and good times, with people coming and going all day.
I really do miss it. Bill passed away about 8 years ago from melanoma at the age of 45, which at the time I thought was really old.
This year I'm gonna try a Martha Stewart trick involving some eggs and an old silk tie....
