If you don't understand how you have advertised warez it is simple because you have openly told people that a partial copy of the windows source code is illegally aviable on the internet.
For more information on how you have done this you may whish to see this thread

troll.
Well if you had bothered to actually go check out what I said instead of calling me a troll and a lair and personally attacking me you would see these posts.

mmhh Why wasn't that policy in effect @ the time of the Doom III demo leak ?
FYI, read Kristof's first post on this page and Johns followup a little after it and then Rev's on the next page.

Kristof said:While the B3D Team has not yet discussed an official statement relating this matter I do think I can say the following :
- What happened happened, nothing we can do to reverse this matter. Sticking our head in the sand will not make it all go away.
- I see no problem in topics discussing the Doom III technology (be it now with some first hand experience for some people) or the issue of software leaks.
- We'll not allow linking of or explenations on how to obtain leaked or illegal software.

I moved the thread here earlier today. I agree with Kristof, though I haven't spoken with Dave or Marco about this. The site shouldn't be involved in spreading illegal software, but we really can't tell our visitors/readers what they can and cannot discuss. I will, however, delete any posts containing active download links just out of respect for id Software and not some devilish glee in suppressing free speech.
Okay so far this thread is okay other then possible inderict link through ./ but the discussion continues.

I, too, agree with Kristof's earlier post--harm's done, and there's no use in pretending it never happened.
It's not about "pretending" it never happened - it's about simply discussing it. It is equal to advertising and publicizing a leaked software.
This, however, doesn't come down to just the website/forum involved - it comes down to its participants/community as well. Hopefully, folks here will not discuss anything about the leak.
If VE has a forum and a discussion about this leak took place (even if d/l links are not provided), I'd delete any discussions about it. And as much I would love to experience this leak, I never attempted to d/l it (no, not even if it was a manageable dial up size).
I'm sure Epic took no pleasure from having discussions about their leaked UT2003 build even if links weren't provided.
Oops, I realized I just contributed to what I said shouldn't even be happening.

This what dave gave as the response to the question about leak policy at the time of DOOM3. THe reason why the thread wasn't deleted was it was already over 4 pages long. Same goes for the HL2 source thread that was like 11 pages long.
So will you believe me now or do you believe that I made all these quotes up?
