Where is Toshiba?

There was no representative from Toshiba at the PS3 conference that I can recall. The Toshiba GPU was discarded late in the design cycle. There's no significant presence of eDRAM in the new console, one of Toshiba's areas of strength. Blu-Ray/HD-DVD unification talks between Sony and Toshiba have broken down. I suspect lots of intrigue behind the scenes.

I was wondering the same thing. Apparently Cell was a joint IBM-Toshiba-Sony, but i'm not totally sure what their involvement is, since everyone keeps talking about IBM and Sony only.

It seems Toshiba are not as much part of PS3 as we once thought. Especially now with the HDDVD-BlueRay mess...
