but keeping your pipes full is mainly failing because the processors are so much faster than the memory...
now obviously thats made worse with the p4 mhurtz over everything approach,,, but it still will be a problem on amd-64 . .
HT is surprisingly effective . . . . at *very* little extra die size . . .

*however* by keeping the cpu operating at 100% , intel make the thing ( prescott) even hotter :-O . . you dont get something for nothing in cpu's
