The Balkans are f*cked. They're the birthplace of Nationalism..

But the reason the Balkans are so screwed up is due to the legacy of brutal Ottoman Turkish occupation for 500 years. Note that the only places in the Balkans that have experienced communal violence over the last 15 years are areas where Muslims colonized during the "Turcokratia" period - Serbia, Albania, Bosnia, Croatia. Most of the Balkan Peninsula is peaceful - Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Montenegro, Hungary, etc.

Widespread communal violence is common whenever a colonist people has violently displaced an indigenous one for living space - Western Balkans, Asia Minor (Turkey), Rep. of South Africa, Cyprus, USA, Canada, North Africa/Meghreb, Karabagh. This is more of a colonialism phenomenon than a Balkan one.

What makes Clinton a "war criminal"? Just curious.

There's almost certainly enough justification to indict all Presidents of the modern era on war crimes charges.

As for Mr. Clinton, my beef is the rapacious destruction of Belgrade in 1999 when Serbia had not attacked the US or was in an imminent position of doing so. That was no different than the Iraq adventure really - of whatever risk Iraq was Serbia was a small fraction of that. And it's funny how Clinton (or Bush FTM) never cared much about the Kurds in Turkish occupied Kurdistan - in fact he sold them out by turning Kurdistan President-in-exile Abdullah Ocalan over to Ankyra.

Dont forget he bombed a aspirin factory, he thought it was a place that made chemical weapons. I believe a few people died. If you fault Bush for bad intelligence, you must equally fault clinton.

So you're equating bombing a factory (killing a few dozen?) people with going to war on bad intelligence?

Yes I do, since both were given bad intel. What if the factory bombing was what pushed the terrorist over the edge???

The difference: Clinton was given bad intel, Bush and his cronies manufactured the bad intel via the OSP.

This was news a year ago... but I guess politicians can always rely on the public's short memory.
Maybe im mistaken, but clinton(UN, UK, Italy, et al) also thought that iraq had WMD's, but I guess it was all a big conspiracy so that in the event that bush was elected president he could go to war with iraq. Yeah, thats it the neo-cons have been planning this for over 10 years.
