What do you expect for R650

The latest beta from Nvidia for Bioshock have corruption in many other games.

Yep, I installed those betas intending to play the Bioshock demo but havent gotten around to playing it yet. But now Titan Quest either gets severe texture corruption or crashes outright every 30 mins or so on my GTS. And during those 30 mins it hitches and pauses like crazy. Lots of fun ...

If there's any one thing I admire about ATI over Nvidia in recent years it's that their drivers generally don't compromise compatability in other games in order to win the latest benchmark in the newest Blockbuster game to be released.

Hardware release dates on the other hand...

I'm wondering if any review sites are taking that into account? Probably not as I'm guessing they aren't bothering to test other games, and only focus on Bioshock.

Sigh, being in Japan, won't be able to try Bioshock until I get back to the states in about a month. Although one of the shops in Akihabara might have the import version.

A couple years ago I would have agreed with that wholeheartedly, however, Akihabara seems to be slowly diminishing over the past few years. More empty/out of business storefronts. More used stores. Less niche stores (IE - import stores and other niches). It's still one of the greatest concentrations of computer, electronics, and porn in the world however.
