All the roundabouts going in here are multi-lane. I was on the south side of town, an area I don't visit alot, when I hit my first roundabout.
I was a little lost, but made it through the rounabout ok. While trying to figure out exactly where I was, what do you know, another roundabout.
Next thing I know, I am driving into the airport, not where I was planing to go. I guess if I hadn't been a little lost in the first place, it would not have seemed so bad.

The city is building two of these roundabouts near me. I imagine its going to be pretty interesting this winter.

You have a point in a country that uses walk/dont walk because they cant understand red + green

Red + green should be confusing and a great way to create accidents galore anywhere. I suppose you mean red or green?

BTW, Walk/Don't walk are quite useful for anticipating the switch to red when driving or avoiding death at complex intersections with left turn/right turn arrows.

Good to see you're coming over to our way of thinking.

I've only once encountered difficulties with roundabouts and that was last year in Swindon. Clap your eyes on this beauty:

I managed to cross it without problems a couple of times and avoided hitting anything. I'm still not quite sure how I managed this, however. It was scary.

I think the Hemel Magic Roundabout (not too far from IMG) is prettier.

It doesn't look too bad with no traffic on it - it's a bit different when there are cars/lorries coming at you seemingly from every direction but above! :smile:
