Voodoo5 and WinXP

I'd like to install this card on a WinXP machine for some specific tests. I don't have any 3rd party V5 drivers nor do I know of any potential problems. I believe I have received emails from folks who said that there are problems re a combi of V5 + WinXP + VIA/Athlon but I forget what those were specifically. Any pointers (driver links, tips, troubleshooting, etc) are appreciated. Thanks.

Here's a good starting place... http://www.3dfxunderground.cjb.net which points off to the following -- http://nat.mine.nu:81/3dfx/

There's plenty of life in the forums over there. Allegedly, they will be releasing a new set of WinXP drivers on May 25th.

Another good source for 3dfx info is: http://www.voodoofiles.com/category.asp?x=13

I hear various things about using their 1.00.06alpha, amigamerlin 2.1, and 1.08.04 drivers, with an update to the latest GlideXP version. Those seem to be the prevelant drivers that are used, from what I gathered.

If you are going to pimp x3dfx, I'm 'just' have to pimp GlideXP because:
1) I made it
and
2) It is meant to fix up the problems in WinXP

You need to use it with one of the Win2K driver kits.

It's no lie to say that it can be slightly unstable at times.
