Vista and user rights

The (not so great) idea was to demote my user account to "user rights" and use the build-in administrator account for bigger OS changes. But the administrator account in Vista is by default disablet and now I am stuck with no administrator rights.

I read on the web that the administrator account would be enabled in safe mode or if there are no other account with administrator rights. Not of it holds true for my system. ctrl-alt-delete does not bring up the "standard" login screen and running the computer management "as administrator" does nothing.

Any suggestion at this point would be highly appreciated.

Call up MS and ask them? Sorry I don't really know what else to say but just lifting the phone off the hook anbd dialling is usually the quickest solution.

Anyway.. ouchies! That's gotta hurt. This is precisely why I never mess with diffferent accounts. I'd just screw up.

Peace.

*Edit: MS really should have a safety check built in so situations like this can never happen.
